Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. I was wondering if you got an opportunity to watch the video that's the link and if it made sense? The other thing I was thinking about in yesterdays post was if you had formatting the USB stick before trying to use it for the upgrade?
If so, right click on it and choose the "Format" option. Note: You will loose any data that's on it so be sure to backup its content before the format. When the upgrade process tells you, "Windows needs more space", does the interface allow you to choose your USB stick drive letter to use as external storage? I understand that you are unable to update your Windows as you need to free up space first. I hope I can help you get this sorted out. I'm not sure if you already have tried this but I do not want to miss important troubleshooting steps.
I hope this helps. If not, let me know if this does not work or if you've tried this already. Thanks for your feedback. How satisfied are you with this reply? In reply to BiancaB14's post on July 4, In reply to adriancarter3's post on July 4, Ya know, I've never been able to make a USB stick work, for additional storage during an update.
I'd sure like to hear if you figure how to make it work. It's a good USB stick, right? Can you copy files to it and delete files from it? Have you tried another USB port? You most likely have.
Have you formatted the USB stick? Have you see this? In reply to Nick 's post on July 4, I see. Sorry for the delay in response but I had to go to work yesterday, unexpectedly. If so, does it have a drive letter assigned to it? Two more question please. Or Doesn't the interface show your USB stick drive letter as being selectable?
Have you tried a physically different USB stick for the upgrade process? This site in other languages x.
